Do you think you can fix it for her?
By the way, this isn’t my grandma. It is the grandma of some random person on the Internet. Neither of my grandmothers can even work a computer. So, as far as I’m concerned, this grandma is way ahead of her generation.

My father-in-law once confessed the same error to me, although he was able to figure it out for himself.
I’m with you on granny being ahead of the game for her generation. A lot of older people are too intimidated by technology to try and use a computer, so it’s nice to know that some of them are willing to give it a go.
[@Seamus McSeamus] She also earns points for bucking the Windows bandwagon and going iMac. Damn, she is more hip than I am.
It’s the position of the mouse.
I think we’ve all have bouts of absent-mindedness or “senior” moments.
Hopefully, you figure it out (like, noticing your mouse is upside-down) and slap yourself on the forehead before you call someone for help.
Another reason not to buy ‘em a wireless mouse for Christmas.
Being in IT I see this sort of thing all the time. This was just one of the many things our old accounting lady did. Granted her’s was cordless so maybe a little more excusable. But having to “fix” her number pad on a weekly basis was getting old.
Are you guys being a little “age-ist” here? I’m sure you wouldn’t dream of being sexist about the ability to use computers.
BTW as a “crinkly” (several times over 21) with over 30 years experience of what was originally called “home computing”, I am ever-so-slightly biased. :-))
Resubmitted because your ‘bot picked up a “nasty” word in my original submission!!!

I just finished building my second computer. And I was writing code in Assembler and RPG for IBM and in Plan and Cobol for ICL (Europe’s #1 at the time) when most of you young-uns weren’t even born – and maybe not even your parents.
As someone mentioned here before, our generation invented these things, so please, give us a break…
[@EleventhHour] [@jayesstee] [@Fran] This is just an offhand joke peoples, nothing too serious :-)
