unnamed (15) [1]CloudMagic is an application that will allow you to link and search through all of your cloud services to find the information that you are looking for. This application is perfect for those who keep and maintain several different accounts across several different services and need a central way to organize them all. This application is also great for those who get easily overwhelmed by the amount of information that has to be tracked over the course of a day.

What is it and what does it do

Main Functionality

This application is simply designed to help you find the things that you need most right when you need them. It is based around the fact that most people need to access their information through a variety of different services, which can be difficult when most of them have different search functions.

Pros

  • One search for all of your services
  • Multiple accounts
  • View all data and accounts in one view
  • Preview content
  • Live search with voice functionality
  • Multiple device support

Cons

  • Free version limits you to 50 previews
  • Paid version is quite expensive for an app — a monthly reoccurring charge
  • No local device search

Discussion

unnamed (16) [2]As social and cloud services become more popular and consequently, more widely used, more and more people hare having difficulty keeping track of their information. This is due to the fact that each service has their won method of searching for content. While search functions are a good thing, they can be a major hassle when you don’t remember which service something specific is on. CloudMagic aims to unify all these services when it comes to search by showing results from all of them. This means you no longer have to try and remember which service a specific file or email is on.

The application itself is actually extremely simple to set up and get used to. You begin by adding all of your social and cloud-based accounts to the application. These accounts include all popular services like Gmail, Yahoo, Facebook, Twitter, Evernote, Dropbox, Google Docs, and many more. Once you’ve added all of your accounts, you will be able to search all of them at the same time. The search results will be listed in one convenient view.It offers live search and even the ability to search for content using your voice instead of text entry. You will be able to preview all content like emails and attachments in addition to being able to have the device function properly across multiple devices.

The real problem with this application is that the Pro version requires a monthly payment. The Pro version will only provide you with the ability to have unlimited previews instead of only 50 on the free version. Developers need to learn that most users do not want to pay a monthly fee for an application on their devices. In fact, I would say that if there was a one-time fee for the Pro version instead of the monthly payments, then this application could potentially become extremely popular. There are very few services that can survive on monthly payments due to the fact that people are simply not interested in this type of payment because having a smartphone already requires monthly access fees.

Conclusion and download link

Overall, this application is almost perfect and functions every way you would expect it to. Not everyone will have a use for this specific application as they don’t have their lives spread across different services. However, for those out there that need certain services for their specific offerings, then this application could turn out to be a real life-saver.
