Now the only question remains: are iPhone users giving more because they truly love their devices or because they are accustomed to drinking kool-aid? Or maybe Android users are giving less because they are cheapskates, hence why they own ‘droids. Or, as one commentator put it, Android users are donating less because they are too poor to buy apps.
(P.S. Don’t be offended, I’m only joking here — about both types of people.)

Maybe Android owners are smarter than iPhone owners… or (highly likely) are less susceptible to advertising gimmicks than iPhone owners.
