    @everyone For the rest of you, if you don’t know who Donna is, this is from the tv show Doctor Who.

    [@J.L.] Many times a download manager like Free download manager will let you resume even if the session is expired. Just reacquire the new download link and paste that into the expired download as the download url.

    Indeed, browsers and downloaders should act like notepad asking you to save changes during shutdown. It’s especially bad on my RAMDisk setup.

    Even resuming doesn’t guarantee success, sometimes the speed is lower (like torrents) and download sessions may expire. Worse case scenario is the extended wait times on sites like Rapidshare, not counting unlikely scenarios like servers becoming offline (permanently).
