New Zealand teenager on home detention runs out of Xbox games to play, asks to serve rest of sentence in prison

According to a report from the New Zealand Herald, a teenager who has been serving an 11-month home detention asked to spend the rest of his sentence in jail instead. The reason? Well, he ran out of Xbox games to play.

The 19-year old apparently already served 10 months of his 11-month sentence but when he “had run out of Xbox games to play,” called the police saying that he would violate his home detention if they didn’t take him to jail. He was granted his wish and is now serving the rest of his sentence in Ngawha Prison.

He should’ve just asked for a PlayStation 3.
