For those who are fond of singing, you might want to have a portable karaoke application on your Android tablet or smartphone. This kind of app is great especially when you feel like singing along to your favorite songs. Speaking of which, there’s a particular app that lets you do so. It’s called Videoke King.
Videoke King is a sing-along app (also known as karaoke app) for Android devices. It is developed by JamesDhong. What this app basically does is that it lets you search for various songs in karaoke or instrumental formats and then you sing along with these songs. The concept of this app is basically based on karaoke machines.
When you are loading the app for the first time, don’t be surprised if you have to wait for a few minutes before it fully loads. This is quite normal since the app has more than 357 pages of karaoke or instrumental songs. These are the types of songs that do not have vocals but the lyrics will be provided to you so that you can sing along.
Do keep in mind that since this app supports offline use, every song that you will play will be automatically stored to your phone’s SD card. This way, you can still load the songs even if you are not connected to the internet. If you’re worried that the songs will take up a lot of space in your phone’s local storage, you can simply opt to delete all of your downloaded songs right after you’re done with your videoke session.
If you are already familiar with karaoke or videoke machines, then you won’t have a hard time using this app. The mechanics are the same. Once you launch the app, you will see its list of available songs. You then search for the song that you like, you click on it and it will automatically load. Another good thing about this app is that you can adjust the timing of the song lyrics especially when you think that they are a bit out of sync. The app’s quick song search function is also very commendable. You can easily search for the songs you like just by typing the song’s name or artist. If, in case, you cannot remember the full title of the track that you want to play, just type a keyword and the app will show a list of related songs.
So far, this is one of the most reliable videoke apps that you can find on the Play Store. The songs are fast loading and there are lots of song choices. It is also very easy to use and if ever you want to add a song to your Favorites, you simply tap the star icon beside the song title. As a matter of fact, I would be more than glad to give this app a very high rating if only it doesn’t have those annoying ads that always stay on top of your screen. It also lacks a scoring feature and there’s no way that you could change the background photo. What this app lacks is more options for improving its user experience plus its list of songs is a bit outdated. You don’t really get the chance to sing songs from today’s popular artists such as Jessie J, Bruno Mars and One Direction.
With Videoke King, you can sing your heart out without really worrying if you’re in tune or not. It’s basically intended for entertainment purposes. It may lack in certain aspects but it’s pretty stable. I strongly suggest that you try this app if you’re the type who likes to sing along to your favorite songs.
