This root guide is for the ZTE Blade 3 running Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich. It is specifically for the ZTE Blade 3.

Take note this will wipe all your files and data on your phone. Proceed at your own risk.

Before We Begin

Have your micro USB cable handy.

In order for your device to register correctly on Windows, download the ZTE drivers and install them onto your PC (if you haven’t done so already). The ZTE USB drivers can be found at this link [2].

Your ZTE Blade 3 needs to be in USB debugging mode. Go to Settings, then Developer options, and then check the box that says USB debugging.

Download the root package, and extract it to a folder onto the desktop of your PC. The root package can be downloaded from this link [3].
