Japanese man is already waiting in line for iPhone 5s

There’s rampant fanboyism, and then there’s this. For some odd reason, a man in Tokyo made the decision to begin waiting in line for the iPhone 5s since this past Tuesday, Sept 10. The device won’t hit Apple store shelves until September 20, so he’ll be in that line for more than a full week.

We’re not sure of his name, but we do know for certain that his Twitter handle is @Xxxprius, so you can follow him for more updates on his journey. However, there’s one thing to note, he seems to only speak Japanese so if you have no understanding of the language, then it makes no sense to follow the guy, unless you have some other motive. Or you are skilled in the art of Google Translate.

Furthermore, @Xxxprius admits that the coming days are going to be tough in a recent tweet. According to Kotaku translation, @Xxxprius says:

“I’m lined up at the Ginza Apple Store where the new iPhone 5s launches in ten days. This might be tough.”

Of course, it’s going to be tough, I mean, he probably won’t have a shower, it’s going to get cold at nights, and nowhere comfortable to sleep. But hey, at least he will be the first to get the iPhone 5s in Tokoyo at this particular store. Plus, he probably has the chance to audition for the role of resident iSheep at Apple Japan.

In my opinion, this whole scenario is pretty difficult to understand. Is he that determined to become the first Japanese to scan his fingerprint on the iPhone 5s? Because apart from that, there’s truly nothing else the iPhone 5s has brought to the table to warrant such a bold action. Unless you care about the difference between 64-bit and 32-bit.

We bid him good luck though, and hopefully he won’t find the device disappointing. If not, I’m sure Samsung will give him a free Galaxy S4.
