Snake venom… directly from a snake’s mouth [Amazing Photo of the Day]


That is why you run in the other direction when you see a snake. Or is it that you stand still in order to not scare it? Clearly I’m not fit to give survival tips.

    This looks to me, with 95 % certainty, to be the Mozambique Spitting Cobra, found in the Eastern part of my home country South Africa, and some other areas of Africa as well I believe.

    If so, better stay clear ! This one is usually very agitated and aggressive, more so than most snakes. Poison itself, if bitten, is similar to that of a viper or ‘adder’ in South Africa, tissue destroying, but can kill.
