Before I tell you about how to get this software for free, note two things:
- The download size is huge – 946.6 MB. However, the download speed is very fast.
- There are only 29,000 free licenses being given out in this promotion so be quick if you want one.
That being said, to get CyberLink DVD Suite 7 Centra for free, follow these simple steps:

- Visit the promotion page and follow all the “Zum Download” links:
Eventually, they should lead you to the Softwareload.de page where you need to click on “Vollversion kaufen”:
- You will now be asked to login or register. If you already have an account with Softwareload.de, login; otherwise you will have to register:
If registering, you will need to fill out a form:
Note that I only translated the required form fields. The rest of them are optional so you don’t have to fill them in. Also note your password must be 8 characters or longer and the answer to your security question must be 6 characters or longer.
After you have hit “Registrieren” button you will get a confirmation page telling you to check your e-mail. So, go to your e-mail that you registered with and look for an e-mail from “support@softwareload.de” with the subject of “Bitte bestätigen Sie Ihre Anmeldung bei Softwareload”. There will be a link in there:
Either click on the link or copy and paste the URL in your browser. At the page that loads up, let it finish loading until you reach a page that asks you for your username and password. Login.
- Once you are logged in, regardless of if you newly registered or used an old account, you will be asked to “pay” for the software; however this is a freebie so you don’t have to pay. Just select the “T-Pay” option and enter in ChipXmasDn5G7kp2:
- At the next page, you will be given your registration key and the download link:
Download the software, and copy the registration key and keep it in a safe place.
- Since the download is 946.6 MB, at this point you need to wait. Depending on your distance to the download server, and your connection speed it can take anywhere from 15 minutes to days to download it. I am thousands of miles away from the download server and I downloaded it in about 30 minutes (aka the download speed is fast).
- After the download finishes, install it. During installation you will be prompted to enter your registration information:
The “User Name” and “Company Name” can be whatever you want. In fact they should be filled out for you automatically. In the “Serial Number” box post in the registration key you received earlier.
- Finish installing.
- Enjoy!

How is the PowerDirector different from the earlier freebie? I know they’re both v7 but there appear to be different v7s.
I Get it. Receiving my license now. But almost 1GB download via GPRS? Arrrrgghhhh, can be a month.

@Quro@75: Well technically at the lower end (56 Kbps) it would take 38 hours. However, you shouldn’t be too bad: on my ~20Mbps connection, I’m getting only 400 Kbps.

@Locutus: Did you calculate that at a download speed for 56 Kbps or 5 Kbps? I ask because 5 Kbps is the more realistic download speed for a 56k connection.
Anyway, I was getting 1 MB download speeds =P.
Thanks..did get my serial number…but will take at least half a day for me to download…maybe I’d try to download on Monday when it is faster for me..

When it asks you how you want to pay, it doesn’t really matter which option you pick. I just left it on the default which was credit card. But since the price was 0, it never even asked for cc info.
@Ashraf: The technology, according to our friend Wikipedia, ranges from 56Kbps to ~200Kbps.
One word of warning: I haven’t installed yet, but I was watching the “extracting” window and saw Google Toobar’s installer go by.

I translated some of the text on the email I got with the link to verify my email address and found a couple other good things about this offer.
Here’s what it says:

It took me about 2 hrs to download (DSL connection). Installation took another 15-20 mins, much longer than I thought, probably due to all the different modules in the package.
So far, I have only tried to playback a DVD, and it seems to work fine.

About one hour to download on a shared DSL , O K for what that is , installing taking along time , hogging a fair bit of disc space, over 2Gigs so far hope it releases some when it is done.Half an hour in will go check on it now
Huh. It uninstalled my earlier free version of CyberLink PowerDirector Ultra, but I can’t find it in the Suite. Can anyone else confirm the lack of this?
For people who want CyberLink PowerDirector Ultra and can’t find it in this/don’t want the suite I believe this freebie (http://www.mydigitallife.info/2009/08/23/cyberlink-powerdirector-7-ultra-free-download-with-licensed-activation-key/) that was originally posted on dotTech too is still active. I know the download link on software.de still works, but apparently it’s a 2 year download.

Thanks for the heads up. If it uninstalls the earlier free version of CyberLink PowerDirector Ultra, and PD7 is not found in the Suite, then I won’t install it since video-editing is my first priority.

I don’t know what the security question is, so how can I answer it in order to continue registration?
I paid around $100 for Cyberlink PowerDirector 8 deluxe about 2 months ago. I have found it quite good. I am downloading this offer to get all the other programs, so I hope that when I install it it does not conflict or damage my current installation. Also, I hope the server has the ‘resume’ feature as my DSL connection often drops out.

downloaded the program for 2 hours and installed perfectly in my computer. i have windows 7 and the program is running very smoothly. thank you so much. cyberlink dvd suite is an amazing program. very awesome.
at first i was kind of afraid to install it because my computer would crash considering how big the file is. i remember last year i installed a cyberlink program quite similar to this ( maybe an earlier version) and my computer went bad. but all my fears went away when i have it running smoothly. i have some other video, audio and burning programs in my computer but i uninstalled them right after knowing that cyberlink dvd suite has all of it. once again, i wanna say thank you very much.
