Free DVDFAST Fast DVD Ripper PRO!

DVDFAST is running another promotion. This time, however, instead of giving out their video converter, they are giving out their Fast DVD Ripper PRO.

Fast DVD Ripper PRO is a software that allows users to rip their DVDs into multiple different video formats, including native .VOB DVD format for true backups. Additionally, Fast DVD Ripper PRO  bypasses multiple different DRM techniques, including region locks.

The interface of Fast DVD Ripper PRO should look familiar to most dotTechies because Fast DVD Ripper PRO is a rebrand of WinX DVD Ripper Platinum. So Fast DVD Ripper PRO has all the same features that are present in WinX DVD Ripper Platinum.

More specifically, this chart gives more detailed insight on the workings of Fast DVD Ripper PRO:

To get Fast DVD Ripper Pro for free, follow these simple directions:

Version being given out for free: v1.1

Free updates: Unspecified

Supported OS: Microsoft Windows 98, NT, 2000, 2003, XP, Vista, Windows 7

  • After you fill out the form, your registration code and a download link will be given to you:

Copy the registration code and download Fast DVD Ripper PRO.

  • Install Fast DVD Ripper PRO after it has finished downloading.
  • Run Fast DVD Ripper PRO after it has finished installing.
  • When you run Fast DVD Ripper PRO, you will be prompted to register it:

Paste in your registration code in the “license code” box and hit “Activate”:

  • Enjoy!

If you have any trouble getting Fast DVD Ripper PRO for free, post below and I will try to help.

Thanks he770!

    I did not have any luck getting to the free promotion page either. # 22’s comment about being over is mostlikely right, but they did not list it as over, as with some other the other frre offers. Hopefully they will reopen the page, since they do not have an ending date. Good Luck & Good Day to EVERYONE!!!

    Your promotions page link currently goes to a special price offer they were doing for Christmas & New Year. I sure would like to get the registration code to go with the download (that link works fine), so if you or anyone else reading this can help, I thank you.

    Hi,
    I am trying to convert a Pal dvd into ntsc format to play on my dvd player. I am not sure this program can do this or how to do it. Does anyone know? I would really appreciate your help. Thanks

    @J&T:

    OK … I was able to get a VOB file. It is on my CPU now. I assume I can just copy it off to a DVD and it will play in my DVD player system. Please correct me if I’m wrong. Thanks so much for your help.

    @Marilyn Green
    For the .vob file output, you will need to first go to the MPEG selection and then for the
    “Output image setting” you will need to select DVD NTSC or DVD PAL and then the saved file will change from .mpeg to .vob. I hope this helps.

    For those that are looking to convert your DVDs to Creative Zen X-Fi players, try this converter:

    http://iriverter.thestaticvoid.com/

    Java based, freeware, very simple interface.

    I tried the Fast DVD Ripper Pro given above, but upon copying it to the player Zen won’t touch it. What I had been doing is using Handbrake to dump the VOB files to M4V format on my XP machine, then copy them to my Windows 7 machine and then dragging them to the player. Windows 7 somehow knows the player won’t play this format, so it offers to convert the M4V file to WMV using something called mfpmp.exe in the background. This works OK, except I have to convert the files twice.

    If I try to convert the M4V file to WMV using any other 3rd party tool (not Windows 7’s native tool), the video goes in fast forward mode and the audio is totally off sync. With iriverter, it just makes an AVI file using mplayer and I can drag that right to the player and it has no problems playing it.

    Thanks Ashraf.

    But just a quick question. Can we use this player to convert the downloaded movies files (like .avi, .mkt etc) into a playback format for burning on DVD (to see movies on TV).

    Thanks.

    @karen: You are right about your first point. However your second point is not. I say this because my guess is the version of WinX you are using is an “old” one. The new versions of WinX has the rename menu.

    I have both the previous download for the WinX DVD Ripper Platinum and now for this DVDFast Ripper Pro. The WinX downloaded .exe is 6691KB and the DVDFast one is 7370KB.

    They do look really similar though once they are installed. I have not done rips with both softwares to compare the output, but I did look through the interface and these are the only differences I see:

    1) WinX has an “Options” menu where you can specify the default output folder and also where you can set up defaults for the various “device” outputs (‘to iPod’, ‘to iPhone’, etc).
    2) DVDFast has a “Rename” menu instead of an options menu that gives you some script commands that you can use to rename the output files (#Name#, #Resolution# and others).
