Bubble Nebula [Amazing Photo of the Day]

IC 1805 closeup

“Blown by the wind from a massive star, this interstellar apparition has a surprisingly familiar shape. Cataloged as NGC 7635, it is also known simply as The Bubble Nebula.”

Is it just me, or does that look somewhat like a fetus? “Vamien, I feel sorry for your future children.”

Any fan of the cult 1960′s series ‘The Prisoner’ will tell you that it’s ‘Rover’, the balloon type thing that would chase and smother people trying to escape from the Village. If you don’t believe me, just watch the opening titles, which must be available on the interweb somewhere.
