Hmmm… Mr. Ashraf is probably busy. Well, here’s a nice topic everyone should read:

What to do after downloading a “keygen” “crack” and actually “clicking it”.

    1. If the program disappears, then it’s a fake keygen/crack file/program.

    2. Run “Malwarebyte’s Anti-Malware”; Quick Scan

    3. Quarantine all the crap! Then restart if it says so.

    4. After that, run “Ccleaner” and scan registry.

    5. Delete and do not make backup for the “errors” found by Ccleaner.

    6. Scan using your regular AV scanner and check for any other stuff.

    7. Scan using Malwarebyte again, but this time, use “Full Scan”.

After that, all or perhaps “most” of the junk will be deleted. :)

    Hope that helps.

How to make your computer most secure

    Combination 1 (FREE)
    -avast! Anti-Virus Free
    -Malwarebyte’s Anti-Malware
    -KeyScrambler

    Combination 2 (PAID)
    -ESET Nod 32
    -Malwarebyte’s Anti-Malware PRO
    -Keyscrambler Premium

    Combination 3 (FREE + PAID)
    -Avira AntiVir Personal
    -Malwarebyte’s Anti-Malware / PRO
    -Keyscrambler Premium

    Combination 4 (FREE / PAID)
    -Avira / Avast AV Products
    -Microsoft Security Essentials
    -Keyscrambler Free / Premium

    It’s always the best to have 1 Anti-Virus, 1 Anti-Malware, and 1 Anti-Spyware.

I put the products in that specific order.

Avira has the best detection out of the “free AV , but lacks in other “options” to make your computer safe. Avast in the other hand has a slightly lower detection rate than Avira, but has more “extras” with it.

ESET NOD series is always the best, but extremely expensive. It combines Av(anti-virus) and AS (anti-spyware)

Microsoft Security Essentials is a replacement for Win Live Oncare, and it is quite effective against malware. :D

Keyscrambler doesn’t detect threats, it is NOT a scanner of somesort, but rather a “encrypter” that encrypts everything you type. For example:
What you type: I love Dottech!
    When encrypted with Keyscrambler: #!2+?Ib@_3YT

    Hope that helped!

What to change in msconfig (Type “msconfig” on RUN to do these settings bellow, do it at your own risk; reply if you have any questions!)

    -BOOT.INI tab -> select “/NOGUIBOOT” -> apply
Reason: Makes your computer 2 secounds faster than before. :)

“Services Tab” List of things you SHOULD disable
-ADmonitor (only if you keep getting errors when shutting down your computer, ’cause your’e probably won’t be using “double monitors”.

“Startup Tab” List of things you SHOULD disable
-GoogleUpdate (lags your computer, you can manually update Google Chrome yourself)
-STxMenuMgr (Seagate Backup module on taskbar, I don’t think you need to backup your computer that may times…)
-SbieCtrl (Sandboxie… nope, if you want to, then sure…)
-realsched (REAL Player Update… no point, lags startup)
-MemoryWasher (if you have it, otherwise you don’t need it)
-msmsgs (Win Live Messenger, lags your computer at startup)

That’s pretty much… hope that helps.

    @Joji:

    Hi Joji!

I could surely use that info on msconfig, losing wireless, the best setting for avast! and XP security combos. :)
    Just sayin’.

I’m at minus money right now :(

Hey Ashraf? No new updates? Would it be ok if I give you some stuff to post? I’m not sure if you posted anything similar for the following, but I will be glad to share it with you with. :)

-what to change and not to change in “msconfig”
-how to get wireless back when wireless internet gets an error and “repair” doesnt work (Win XP).
-how to set the BEST setting on avast! Anti-Virus for newbies
-how to determine if your computer can run certain games that meets the game’s requirements and suggestions
-how to make your computer the most secure; how to combine other security programs together.

I’m not sure Ashraf, but what do you think? Which ones do you want me to share?

I entered the code and clicked the activate button, but then the program stopped responding and I had to kill the process. Now when I go in the program I don’t see any “Unregistered Version” labels or “Register” buttons, but I don’t know if I registered it. Did I?

(By the way, my birthday was yesterday, just felt like saying that)

  9. Albi

    Ashraf,
Is this program safe? Has it been checked for viruses and spyware? Is the company reliable? Have you used this program before?
I will give it a try anyway.
    Thank you for the freebies.
    Cheers

WinX seems to have some good software, but they are REALLY confusing. Among their products are: WinX Video Converter version 4.1, WinX HD Video Converter Deluxe version 3.0, WinX HD Video Converter version 4.1, and WinX Video Converter Platinum version 5.7.

Nowhere can I find information about what the difference is between the various packages, either. Very confusing.

But thanks for the link, I guess I’ll just have to install this one and see how it differs from WinX HD Video Converter that I downloaded from a Giveaway of the Day.

I never got the dialog box that displayed Registered Successfully But after a computer restart it does say Licensed Version !! So i take it all is good to go?? or is there another way i can check to make sure all is well?? Thanks

    @kikeman: You are welcome =).

@o(o.o)o: I don’t use either of these so I can’t say for sure, but it looks like this one has more features. And I am betting you do have to uninstall the other one since they both are, technically, different software.

    Hope that helps.
