    “Some people in Thailand & Singapore” are the local Chinese residents who are citizens of the countries. Chinese New Year is celebrated by all Chinese not only in China but throughout the world, wherever they are.

    “FU” means good luck?
    Folks used to say that flipping someone the bird meant good luck in Chinese–I wonder if that’s also true or if the gesture just got mixed up with “FU”?
    Anyone know?
