Star horseshoe worm [Amazing Photo of the Day]

star horseshoe worm

Weird looking worm. This bad boy feeds on microorganisms in the water, and¬†hides inside its tube to avoid predators. It’s truly a useless species that serves no purpose whatsoever. A mere maggot has serves a bigger purpose in this world when compared to the star horseshoe worm.

Just because their purpose hasn’t been yet discovered by people, doesn’t mean that purpose doesn’t exist. Anyway just a quick look on wikipedia will tell you they are part of the food chain, and therefore not useless…you must open up your mind…a lot!
