How to root Samsung Galaxy Note 3 on Android 4.4.2 KitKat (SM-N900P, Sprint) [Guide]

If you happen to own one of these, and are now looking to root your device after updating it to official Kit Kat, here’s a step by step guide which will walk you through the process.

REQUIREMENTS

This guide is intended for the Sprint branded version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, model number SM-N900P, running the official Android 4.4.2 KitKat firmware N900PVPUCNAB from Sprint. Please do not try it with other carrier branded variants of the Galaxy Note 3.  You can check your device model number by going to Settings > About Device on your phone, or by checking the labels on the packaging box.
