HTC has announced its brand new flagship phone, the new HTC One (M8). The phone has been subject to a number of leaks before today, but the official unveiling of the phone has brought with it a number of new features that weren’t known just yet.

The new One looks very similar to its predecessor, but it’s actually received numerous tweaks to its design. The display has been bumped up to a 5-inch 1080p display, making it slightly taller, and the rear of the device is has a curve to it that should make it more comfortable to hold. There’s a Snapdragon 801 processor, it runs Android 4.4 KitKat and some users will be delighted to know that it has a microSD slot.

The phone comes with HTC’s newest iteration of Sense, but Android purists can order a Google Play edition of the phone, which is also available now.

HTC is sticking with its UltraPixel camera this time around, but is adding a second sensor to introduce what it’s calling a Duo Camera feature. The Duo Camera lets you do things like focusing on different points of an image even after taking it, similar to the Lytro camera [2].

The new HTC One M8 will be available in more than 200 carriers and 100 countries by the end of April. The price for the phone on-contract will average between $199 to $249.
