Requirements

This root guide is for the HTC One M8 (Verizon) running Android 4.4 Kitkat. It is specifically for the device HTC One M8 (Verizon).

Before We Begin

Enable unknown sources by going to Settings then Security.

qrcode.21721548Download the Weaksauce rooting apk directly to your HTC One M8 by clicking on the following link (or by scanning the Qr code below).

Once Weaksauce is downloaded, it can be installed by going to the Android downloads folder, browser download section or file manager.

How To Root Device

After installing Weaksauce, open it and start the rooting process. At some point during the rooting process you’ll be prompted (tap the agree option). After starting the root process, soon enough it should finish. When the rooting has finished, reboot your device.

Once back in Android, install SuperSU from the Google Play store. After SuperSU is installed, root is fully enabled!
