How to add Recycle Bin to Control Panel in Windows [Tip]

The Control Panel in Windows includes shortcuts to numerous system tools and options. However, the Recycle Bin is not included. You can add a Recycle Bin, and other shortcuts to the Control Panel with My Computer Tweaker that has numerous customization options.

You can add the program to Windows 7 from this page. Press the Download button on the page to save the RAR file. Extract the RAR with the freeware 7-Zip utility. Then open the extracted folder, and launch the software’s window in the shot below.

At the top of that window there are a group of check boxes that you can select to add shortcuts to the Control Panel. There you can select a Recycle Bin check box. In addition, you can also select additional shortcuts such as Registry, My Computer, Network, User Account 2, etc.

When you have selected Recycle Bin, scroll down to the bottom of the window and click Apply. Then the software will restart Windows for you to apply the settings selected. Once restarted, open the Control Panel in the shot below.

Now you’ll find that the Control Panel includes a Recycle Bin shortcut. Click that shortcut to open the Recycle Bin from the Control Panel. In addition, it will also include any others that you selected from the My Computer Tweaker window.

So with My Computer Tweaker you can quickly add new shortcuts to the Control Panel. The software also has a variety of additional options and settings with which to customize the desktop, taskbar, Explorer context menu, Media Center and Internet Explorer.
