How to set reminders for visiting webpages in Firefox [Tip]

The problem with bookmarking web pages is that we tend to forget them after quite some time. So it’s really not that applicable for web pages that we need to check from time to time. Yes, we may put them in the bookmarks toolbar but the best way is to set a reminder for each page and here’s you can get it done. It will definitely be helpful for checking forum posts, Reddit threads, contest pages, live blogs, etc.

How to set reminders for visiting web pages in Firefox

  • On your Firefox browser, download and install the “Watch Later” add-on. It’s a free add-on that is intended to remind you to visit certain web pages.
  • Once installed, the add-on will automatically place its icon on the Firefox toolbar. Look for the “W” icon on the toolbar.
  • Next, load the page that you need to check at a certain period of time. Once the page has been fully loaded, click the Watch Later icon.

  • A popup box will show up and it will ask you to set the reminder time. You can set a custom reminder time in minutes, hours, days, months or years.
  • Click “Confirm” to save your reminder.
  • You may close the page once you’ve set the reminder.

  • Once the time is up, you’ll get a subtle notification with a pop sound in your browser notification area (usually on the lower right portion of your browser screen). If you click the notification, Watch Later will open the page with reminder in a new tab. If you ignore it, you’ll be notified again in five minutes.
