I’ve installed the WinXDVD ripper using AA-TYTGUWUJ-SSJGXD as the license key and it said ‘Invalid License Code’.

Good news! I found the issue, and it had nothing to do with WinX DVD Ripper Platinum. Instead, the Molex connector had popped out on its own! (oops!)

Thanks for the freebie, Ashraf. I do have a problem though, and am hoping a someone can help. I installed this offer, and I don’t know if this is related or not, but found my DVD burner is no longer working. It’s not listed as a drive in My Computer, and I can’t even get the eject button to respond. Maybe this is just a coincidence? I’m running XP sp3.

I just found this and downloaded / installed it and it registered just fine for me.

The interface is a little busy with tabs, I will agree. But for some less experienced users (and me, when I’ve not had enough sleep) it’s sometimes easier to have a tab for each permutation of conversion. It would be nice for the “active” tab to be highlighted a little more, but I can see which one it is (and my screen doesn’t look at all pink – sorry Harold!).

I love that it has a preset tab for converting to Zen. I’ve had no luck finding anything with a preset for that and I love my little Zen.

One thing that would be nice in a future version would be the ability to set in “Options” to NOT show some of the tabs. Turn them off, so to speak. I don’t have an iPod/iPhone/iPad/iTV/iCan Opener a PSP or a Zune and I’ll probably never want to make a DVD into FLV or MOV (someone might, just not me) – so I could get rid of half the tabs right there and streamline the interface right off. Many people wouldn’t want some subset of the tabs like my delightful little Zen tab, so they could make their own customizations. Just a thought…

@a simple happy man, @AlanR, @Mario, @Denis F : I don’t know if having a new version installed with an old code will cause any problem in the future.- I’ve uninstalled my old version using Revo Uninstaller.- Then I’ve RESTARTED my PC.- Then I’ve installed the new version.- When finished, it asked me for the code.- Now, I have a new version with a new code installed.

I have been using a competitors software for the past three years for all my copying needs. I tried WinX DVD Ripper Platinum and think it is great. I will be using this software from now on. It has a lot of great features. I really like that you can convert a DVD to all the other formats. My other software did not do this. Great job. Thank you.

It is good to know that the running time can be automatically added to the output file name. This is a nice feature.

There are times when I want to put 2 or more films on one CD or DVD disk. Knowing the estimated output size in advance of the conversion will reduce the trial and error involved when you only know the output size after each conversion.

What I would like is an estimated output size before conversion and better still, an option to allow me to set the output size then the program sets the best quality settings for that size.

Found I had already downloaded V6.0, but had failed to register it. So I uninstalled, and reinstalled, but it never asked for a code. It indicates it is a registered copy though. I tried it out and works wonderfully.. Thanks again Ashraf.

I forgot that WinX is installed in the Windows Startmenu as Digiarty and as I didn’t see WinX I ended up installing v6.0 over the top of V5.20 that i had from Softpedia.

Funnily enough WinX recognised my old license and accepted it so now i have v6.0 from dotTech with another license.

In my opionion, WinX DVD Ripper Platinum is one of the best Ripper of the world. In the Version 6 it’s easier to use, the user interface is really clear, althoug you have all the important setting on it.
What I would enjoy: The possibility to create own profiles, for ripping.
Adding some languages (e.g. german) would be very nice,too (I would be willing to help translating in german).

All in all it’s a fantastic software, which I really like to use.

1) The format tab we select should be much darker and the format title should also appear at the top of the options. This makes it easier to know which format you are using.

2) The estimated size of the final file should be stated for our reference.

3) To take item 2 a step further, offer settings that will allow us to reach a target final file size which we specify.
