How to root Samsung Galaxy Core Prime SM-G360GY TD-LTE on Android 5.1.1 [Guide]

SM-G360G-GyThese are the instructions to root Samsung Galaxy Core Prime SM-G360GY smartphones running on the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update.

REQUIREMENTS

  • The CF-Auto-Root tool in this guide is based on the LMY48B.G360GYUBU1BOJ1 firmware which is part of an Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update for some regions. You do not need to be running that same firmware on your Samsung Galaxy Core Prime smartphones. The firmware is given for you to use as an indicator only. On the other hand, we do only recommend following this guide for Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.

BEFORE WE BEGIN

  • Download the Samsung USB Drivers for the Samsung Galaxy Core Prime smartphone and install them on the computer before you begin the guide. You are using the Odin flashing tool by Samsung developers to flash the rooting file and the Odin flashing tool won’t detect your device if the drivers are not up to date. Anyone with the USB Drivers up to date already can skip this step.
