Tried but was unable to edit my comment.
And there is still 7 mn letf.
The ‘Grey film’ covers the page, which is what it normally does, but then the ‘Edit Box’ doesn’t appear.

Could you look into it, please?

The problem is/was w your registration, not w the software or the Promo.

This claims it is a freebie, but yesterday it refused to open after using it since feb. 11 because it said the trail period is over..

Tried out Ditto – and it’s great. I can definitely recommend it as a viable alternative (plus you can choose which clipboard entries to delete, thereby eliminating the “one or all” irritation that comes with Clipdiary). Yep, Ditto’s gonna be a keeper. Check it out, folks – it’s worth a look: http://ditto-cp.sourceforge.net/

Hello all. I have version 2.1 from GAOTD but I found another freebie from Ashraf to be much easier for me to use. It’s Xneat Clipboard manager. You can find it some where on the Dot Tech site or maybe a link can be posted. Anyway thank you for all of the great offers today.

I have been a Ditto person for a while (and very happy ) any reasons to switch horses?
- to me they look to offer similar/same features and very often what floats your boat can just come down to blind predujice

Many thanks for this offer–I’ve been using Clipdiary for years, now, and appreciate it, finding it an indispensible tool.

When you’re at the developer’s website, you might also want to check out Flashnote, currently offered as freeware. Flashnote is an electronic notepad that sits in your Notification Area, ready for you to click to instantly bring up a notebook for your jotting down of quick ideas, reminders, to-do lists, etc. It is so robust/quick to use (it really is instantaneous) that I keep certain forms there, as well as long-term lists and other pieces of information, and I use it throughout the day. Highly recommended!

When I tried to install the program Norton Internet Security removed it calling it a threat. Did anyone else have this issue?

I used Clipdiary 2.1 and loved it, but since I couldn’t reinstall I looked at a lot of others. I settled on ArsClip at joejoesoft.com. It lets me quickly move back & forth through clip history with keyboard (like ClipDiary). This makes it very simple to copy several items and paste them in the order I need without the slowness of opening a selection window. The selection window is also there if you want, and you can purge history several ways. I strongly recommend taking a look at this if ClipDiary doesn’t quite fit your needs.

I will give ClipDiary another shot, I found it easy to use and it was much more consistent at handling keyboard shortcuts than ArsClip — I found a new version of ArsClip is available, haven’t tested, but the version I use seems to randomly decide whether it moves 0, 1 or 2 slots back or forth in history when you press the assigned hotkeys, so I always have to LOOK at what it puts in the copy/paste buffer. ClipDiary always got it right! Thanks Locutus and TipRadar!

I REALLY REALLY do appreciate this promo!

I’ve been using v2.1 since April.09 and got accustomed to it.
Have nw laptop W7 x64, so been looking for alternatives for quite awhile, tried a few Ashraf recommended.
Never got the hang of any of them :(

I got so excited when I saw it as it comes really à propos.
Already dwlded & installed. YEAHHHH

I concur w Phoenix Rising, as having to delete ea entry one by one is indeed a bother, specially when one neglects to clean up for several days in a row.

Have not tried this nw version, so dunno if this has changed.
But even w this “bug” I still love it!! Its simple, easy, intuitive, low in resources.

I’m a bit surprise not many ppl have commented on this freebie, as this cie doesnt do promos often (if at all – Yes, I’ve been looking!) and its a GREAT APP!!!
Still dont get why this isn’t built-in in Windoze :(

Dont know if its still on, but everybody should go get it.

I only go to TipRadar sporadically, would have been sooooo disappointed had I missed it!!

Thank you Jeanjean and Locutus… I’ve always used clipboardic; but never needed the sync/share feature. I think this program might be a little sweeter for our family. :-)

Thanks Jeanjean and Locutus. I’ve been looking around for a clipboard manager for some time now, but haven’t settled on one yet that is the right fit for my needs. I’ve been tempted to use this, but only being able to delete one or all entries (as per Ashraf’s older review) puts me off (“One annoying problem I found is you can only delete one individual entry at a time or the whole database – you cannot select multiple entries and delete them”).

For anyone looking for some freeware clipboard progs, check out Gizmo’s “Best Free Clipboard Replacement Utility” list (http://www.techsupportalert.com/best-free-clipboard-replacement-utility.htm). Top of the reviewer’s list if a prog called Ditto, which seems to be pretty close to Clipdiary in capabilities. I was wondering if anyone was using it (or had tried it) and could pass on what it’s like.
