Instructions
Download and install jv16 PowerTools 2010 like normal. You’ll be walked through a multiple-step setup process at the end of which the program will restart.
Then download the license file. It should contain a simple license.xbin file. Just put this file onto your desktop for it to be detected automatically. You may have to restart the program.
In what has to be one of the easiest giveaways ever, you now have a working copy of jv16 Powertools! It’s a great find and an even better freebie.

To all having problems. be sure to unzip the xml file to your desktop. Keeping it in the zip file won’t work.
Then it’s detected during set-up.
I did place the file on the desktop, and did copy it into the jv16-folder. Still isn’t registered! Maybe I’ll try uninstalling it then reinstall. It is a great program–hope I can get it to work. 2009 registered with no problems. I uninstalled it before installing 2010 version.
Only opened email re this download this morning at 7 am EST, Feb 14. Downloaded program fine but when I clicked on download “the license file” was directed to a site ‘tipradar.com’ which said “nothing found for upload license _jv16zip. Help please. I think I’m still within the 72 hour time frame.
Deirdre, think the game is over. just made the test. -Not found. But worked fine yesterday.
@Bob Mason : strange. As soon as the lic is in the folder, jv16 even works as a portable app on other pc´s.

7-Zip says it cannot open the file ‘License_jv16.zip’ as a valid archive file.
When trying to re-download I get the message that there is nothing to download.
I am about to give up of the ‘free’ sites because this seems to be continously happening now that so many sites have gotten into the rage.
I can imagine that TipRadar offered jv16 with delay, so “free” did not start on 10th but before.

Thanks Loutus, it seems to be a usefull, comprehensive utility. If it works out as good as it looks, it may well replace several other installed apps.
I downloaded & installed it on Friday, it registered but the license shows 5 computers, License Issued: 04.02.2011. This seems to be more like a 60 day “license” or a trial license. Can anyone help on this?
Why should it be a trial if it does not show that? -It just works.

Hey Bob, you seem to have the same License number as I do. I guess all of us that downloaded here may have the same License number. I had emailed Macecraft in reference to the problem with the License a few days ago & I did not recieve a response. If it expires soon I will go back to the Free version JV16.

I opened the license file & it matched what was “registered” on the software.

What do you mean that the license is for trial? If there is shown license owner instead of count down, the software is a full version.
