As I am sure many of you noticed, dotTech has had a flurry of Android articles lately. I know many e-mail subscribers may not have Android phones and may not be interested in Android articles; I understand that some of you may be sick of being “spammed” with e-mails you are not interested in. Therefore, I am writing this post to inform you that you no longer have to receive e-mails about Android if you no longer want them.

If you no longer want to receive e-mails about Android articles, you can do one of two things:

• You can switch from the inhouse managed dotTech e-mail notification system ^[1] to the Feedburner managed dotTech e-mail notification system ^[2]. The difference is with the Feedburner managed e-mail notification system you will get one and only one e-mail a day. That e-mail will contain a list of all articles posted in the past 24-hours. The e-mail will still contain notifications about Android articles, but it will also contain information about all other types of articles, too. See the e-mail notifications page ^[3] for more detail. If you make the switch, be sure to unsubcribe from the inhouse dotTech e-mail notification system.
• If you want to stick with the inhouse dotTech e-mail notification system (the one that sends one e-mail for every new article) but you don’t want to receive e-mails about Android, you can deselect Android from the categories list. To do this follow these simple steps:
  • Find the last e-mail you received from dotTech about a new article. Click on the unsubscribe link at the very bottom (don’t worry, you won’t directly unsubscribe yourself by clicking it):

• The next page that loads will give you to the option to modify the categories you are emailed about:
