I can not say if this is “good”, bad, “dangerous” or whatever.
I HAVE tried some of the other “complete” optimisers (given here- THANKS!!) … and a few actually work well.
BUT, in the end I find it more revarding to reinstall a older backup of my complete system.
I f…up my sytem a lot, forgetting to install and run “new” apps in a safe environment (sandbox)
Dottech have had several “system backup” and “complete HDD or partiton” giveaways – most of them work real well and are easy to use.
MY advice is: When your windows OS gets too slow, get one one the backup programs.
Get a new HDD (if you can afford it- I was to say more, and yes, I KNOW not everyone can buy new HDD`s ….) Remove your old HDD and hook up your new HDD.
Start installing your OS, when done, install all the drivers and so on.
When done, make a HDD copy with one of the backup app`s.
Continue installing whatever and make new backups ever so often.
It IS a bit time consuming, yes, you WILL loose some giveaways… but new giveaways will pop up ever so often.
I make new “backups” once a month or so. When my machine need a “optimizer” I just make sure allmy RECENT mails and stuff is saved, roll back and start anew with a OS that worked well, one or two months ago.
The reason I do remove the old HDD, to make sure its complete : I ALWAYS miss something and it can be weeks before I realize I did not save that or this file or information.

I’ve been using the Iobit programs and they do a safe and complete enough job for me. Also free, with good prices to go “Pro”. Don’t see anything here to make me change to something that I’d be taking a chance on for no increase in benefits.

  3. Emrys

I’m staying with CCleaner. After years of proven performance (at no cost) I am loathe to try some upstart “lite” version of anything else. I.E. if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. As for program removal, I say the same for Revo.

  4. VisionMaster

another cleaning tool… as Ashraf pointed out on many programs like this before, and i tend to agree with him, these programs do more harm than good!

if your pc is really slow, then you need to upgrade your ram, or get a new pc altogether…dont play around with registry “quick fix” solutions, may have to reinstall your system if something goes wrong.
