Android has over 450,000 apps. With so many apps out there, app discovery (aka finding new and useful apps) is extremely difficult. With our Android Apps of the Day initiative, dotTech aims to change that. Everyday we post three apps, allowing our readers to discover new apps, daily. Enjoy! Six-Guns is an shooter action game based in the Wild Wild West. You play as Buck Crosshaw, an outlaw who has faked his own death and is trying to escape Arizona. There are forty missions to play with each mission varying in task and challenge, ranging from riding horses, killing robbers, shooting bandits, and fighting off waves of enemies; the missions take you through Arizona and Oregon and each mission has one thing in common: You shoot things. Although shooting is the main way to kill the enemy in Six-Guns, there is also the ability to do melee attacks… with your fist or weapon.
Six-Guns is a free-to-play game by Gameloft; it is free to download and play while there are optional in-app purchases. Take note Six-Guns is graphics intensive and recommended for high-end Android devices; and you must download a 230 MB game pack before you can play, so make sure you have access to a WiFi connection or unlimited mobile data.

tTorrent is a torrent client for Android. With tTorrent users can download up to eight torrent at a time and seed up to eight torrents at a time, with the option to queue up downloads. Torrents can be added by browsing to an already downloaded torrent file (there is a built-in file manager) or using your browser to download a torrent file. There is the ability to search for torrents but you must sideload another app, Trasndroid Torrent Search. tTorrent also has the ability to encrypt, using DHT, UPnP, NAT-PMP, and proxies; downloading/seeding can be limited to WiFi only, WiFi and WiMax only, or any data connection; there is RSS feeds support to automatically download torrents published to feeds; and upload and download speeds can be optionally limited. There is also power management features which can make tTorrent only download when the phone is actively being charged and to stop seeding when battery is below a specific threshold.
tTorrent Lite is ad-supported and limits download speeds to 250 KB/s. tTorrent Pro is ad-free and has no download speed limit.
Disclaimer: Please only use tTorrent as allowed by the laws of your country/region. Ashraf and dotTech are not responsible for any activities, legal or illegal, you conduct with tTorrent.

Permissions Explorer is a simple app that lists all the system access permissions your apps have. It has the ability to list permissions by permission (i.e. show which apps have X permission), list permissions by apps (i.e. what permissions specific apps have), and list permissions by category (e.g. show which apps have location access permission). By default Permissions Explorer shows all apps – system apps and apps you downloaded – but you have the ability to limit it to showing only downloaded apps via Preferences.
Take note Permissions Explorer is different than Permissions App Friendly . Permissions Explorer doesn’t rate apps and permissions by “danger”; and Permissions Explorer makes it easier to quickly view which apps have X permission whereas Permissions App Friendly is more focused on showing the permissions of individual apps.

dotTechies: We have tested all the apps listed above. However, Android Apps of the Day articles are not intended as “reviews” but rather as “heads-up” to help you discover new apps.
