Android has over 450,000 apps. With so many apps out there, app discovery (aka finding new and useful apps) is extremely difficult. With our Android Apps of the Day initiative, dotTech aims to change that. Everyday we post three apps, allowing our readers to discover new apps, daily. Enjoy! Drop is a platform scroller game in which you have a ball and you must drop it through holes in the platforms as the screen scrolls upwards. If the screen ever catches your ball (i.e. you drop slower than the screen scrolls) then it is game over. What makes Drop different than other similar games is the fact that the ball bounces and this bounce makes it significantly different (significantly harder) to drop through the holes than if the ball didn’t bounce.
Drop is playable using the accelerometer on your device (i.e. moving your phone to move the ball), by touch, or by joystick/touchpad.

Ever played Zuma on your PC, Xbox, etc.? Lost Frog is a Zuma game for Android. In Lost Frog you must defend a golden skull from a deadly chain of colored magic balls. Your goal is to match three or more same-colored balls (you shoot magic balls at the chain from a stone frog’s mouth) until there are no more balls left in the chain, after which you can move onto the next level. As you progress through the levels the game gets harder and, to make the game interesting, there are six special types of magic balls that have special properties like destroy all surrounding balls, move balls backwards, and stop balls from moving for a while.

Got a new router and don’t know the default password? Or maybe you have an old router you have dug out of your closest and you can’t remember the default password. Whatever the case may be, Wifi Unlocker is a tool to try if you ever need to find the default password for a router. What Wifi Unlocker does is it scans for all available wifi connections. Out of the connections it finds, it lists connections in green if Wifi Unlocker knows the default password for that specific router model and lists connections in blue if Wifi Unlocker doesn’t know the default password for that specific router model. If you see a green router, simply clicking on it will reveal the default password for that router.
Since each router model works slightly different than other models and may have a different default password, Wifi Unlocker only works with router models that are supported. At Wifi Unlocker’s Play Store page the developer lists the types of routers that are supported with a promise to add support for more routers. Taking a quick glance at that list, the most notable router type missing are Linksys routers.

dotTechies: We have tested all the apps listed above. However, Android Apps of the Day articles are not intended as “reviews” but rather as “heads-up” to help you discover new apps. Always use your best judgement when downloading apps, such as trying trial/free versions before purchasing paid apps, if applicable.
