iOS has over 600,000 apps. With so many apps out there, app discovery (aka finding new and useful apps) is extremely difficult. With our iOS Apps of the Day initiative, dotTech aims to change that. Everyday we post three apps, allowing our readers to discover new apps, daily. Enjoy! [Subscribe to our iOS section to never miss an article: RSS Feed | E-mail ]

ColorManager edits your photos to bring out what colors you want in the photo and leave the rest in black and white. There are two modes you can use. You can use the six different color sliders to highlight what you want whether it be red, green, blue and even yellow. You can do a combination of colors to bring out what you really want. If you want a person to stand out you can use the mask mode and erase the color around everywhere but what you want to stay in color. for added accuracy you can zoom in to make sure you’ve got every fine tooth detail has even made. The maximum resolution to work with photos are 1200pixel for the iPod, 1800pixel for the iPhone3G or 3Gs, and 2600pixel for the iPhone4.

Morse-It allows you to translate, interpret, type, learn, and convert Morse code in a way that isn’t too difficult to follow how it works. The basics is that you type something then press the translate button to show you what each letter will consist of a series of dots and dashes along with a flashing light and sound to show you how it is done or use the flashing to test someone at a certain distance from you. You can tap Morse code which will translate in text so you understand what the message is. There are many different input types that are used which are novice, straight key, memory paddle, and Iambic paddle.
There is a glossary of the letters, numbers and anything else you might need to use Morse code. This app can also decode by using the microphone to hear the series of dots and dashes. Your tapped and decoded text can be edited and exported to the clipboard to the In-app email and SMS.

dotTechies: We have tested all the apps listed above. However, iOS Apps of the Day articles are not intended as “reviews” but rather as “heads-up” to help you discover new apps. Always use your best judgement when downloading apps, such as trying trial/free versions before purchasing paid apps, if applicable.
