I prefer full versions that I can install whenever I want than the GAOTD limited versions that one loses after a format or doesn’t have a chance to install at another computer/location next day…
Now let me place a difficult question dear Asraf:
Suppose I want to buy the latest version of such a system utility.
Which one would you finally suggest?
In any case, I highly appreciate such freebies from developers and I prefer to buy from such a developer than another one, especially when they offer lifetime version upgrades.
Giving an example: I remember the latest album of Radiohead being offered for free/donation through internet. I was impressed that my girlfriend remember it and she bought me the whole Radiohead album collection as a present at Valentines day!
Needless to say I felt very good.

That would depend on which utility you purchase. Any particular utility you have in mind? I highly suggest Advanced SystemCare (well for now you can get a Pro license for free from Raymond.cc). That is actually what I do – I use Advanced SystemCare Pro for constant/everyday maintenance then I use WinUtilities and TuneUp Utilities 07 as a supplement once in a while.
Well, lookey here. 6.4′s probably really new as just a week ago I tried updating my 6.2 – to no avail. Well, I got mine from somewhere (GAoTD, your website?) and read this topic right here. I read it. I read it and came to the conclusion that my 6.2 is ‘different’ from this free version – I got mine when it was still the newest or whatever.

This is wrong place to comment on that (Antilogger).
Nevertheless, I would not trust any security software from a small company, especially when it comes from a poor and non democratic country as Turkey.
(Personally I think that the most probable outcome of that software, would be to work as a trojan itself at some time u dont expect it in the future!)

Does it say “WinUtilities 6.2 (Full Version)” at the top? If it does that means it registered already for you. This could be because you had WinUtilities in the past and you installed it but the registration information is still stored on your computer.
I recently downloaded this program and I do love it but I have one major issue….Malware was attached to the program and now I cannot get it removed from my pc….any ideas to get it gone?

I have WinUtilities 6.4 from GAOTD. It worked fine for a while, but but now I am also getting “Missing DLL Files, please reinstall” when I try to run it just like Halfwind above. Is there a way to get it back without having to reinstall (since the GOAT registration key is of course no longer valid)?

Uninstall it (do not use RevoUninstaller). Reinstall it. It should be fine (technical details – the registration information will still be stored on your computer).
However keep in mind you can always grab WinUtilities 6.2 from above…no major differences between v6.4 and v6.2.
I’m afraid that didn’t work…..WinUtilities’ uninstaller removed the entire WinUtilities folder with everything in it!….When I reinstalled, they wanted me to pay….So I downloaded and installed 6.2 from above….

Aww that sucks.
I told you to try that because what is supposed to happen, in theory, is that the registration information is stored in the register. Long as you don’t remove the registry entries you should be just fine. I know for some people this has happened; not sure why it did not work for you.

I did as others have done, downloaded and installed WinUtilies 6.2, fine.
One of the advantages thhat WU has in relation to others is that one can review what is about to be deleted as a result of disk cleaning.
However, the options, search and cleaning, did not work for me. I got the text for the various alternatives but I could not make any selection because nothing to click on.
By mistake, or so, I happened to click on the update button. So, I got the 6.4, installed that with the hope that the options would work. I did not. So uninstalled 6.4 and downloaded and installed the 6.2 from this your very good site.
Back to the starting point, 6.2 and I can not select my options. I would like to use the disk cleaning aggressively, but as I am a bit paranoid from the Microsoft world, I would review the result.
Appreciate highly if anyone can help bringing back what I never got, small things to click on to select the options.
