Now to the software…what in the world is this software supposed to do? I truly do not understand. This is the description from the developer’s website:

List manager Remove, List Replace, List Sort, List compare and duplicate list manager software

Use this list management software to easily manage multiple lists. With this software, you can:

  • Easily sort lists in ascending or descending order, simply by inputting files and then pressing the sort buttons
  • Remove list items that contain certain text, or remove list items that don’t contain certain text
  • You can also remove blank lines, using your own custom delimiter (so you can remove blank lines that are separated by line breaks, or remove blank list lines that are separated by commas, etc)
  • You can compare two lists, and then keep matches from each list, or subtract one list from another to see the difference in content between the two lists
  • You can customize what type of delimiter you want for pattern matching/list management, so you can compare more than just lists that have line breaks (i.e., you can compare .csv lists, tab delimited lists, etc.
  • You can save the resulting list files
  • Plus much more! Try out the software for free today!

For the life of me I cannot figure out why anyone would need this software. To ‘get the software going’ you can to “Load file” and choose a text file that has your list. I have tried both Excel and Word files they do not work. Only .txt worked. The list will show up in the box. Choose a different text file, and load it in the second list box.

Once you have done that, you can sort each list, make all the letters in each list uppercase/lowercase. You can delete all the spaces. You can remove lines that contain any text you specify. You can make it so that there is no duplicate information between the two lists you loaded. You can make it so that each list itself does not contain duplicate information.

The only possible use of this software that I can think of is the “Remove lines” that contain “XXXX” in them. Even that you can do in Word or any other editor.

I would recommend free alternatives but, simply put, there are none for something as stupid as this. Unless you are writing your list in notepad or word pad, you will be able to do everything this software does using the program you are writing your list in.

PMnet Verdict: Unless you write lists in note/wordpad and need help sorting them, just skip on this GOTD.
