One of my pet hates is -
I click on a link in an email, to go to the senders web site.
It pops up a ‘Please log in’ message.
I type password and click log in, AND -
It throws you (me) into my flippin profile, instead of the web page that was associated with the email topic (Geez I hate that).
If I had to list what pee’s me off the most on the web, I think that is at the top of the list.
And I could be wrong, but your new site is even worse than the others, because -
Normally I mutter, and leave myself logged in (in one Tab), and then I return to the email and click the link. ‘It’ then realizes that I am already logged in, and throws me to the desired web page (in a new Tab).
I could be wrong, but I don’t think yours even does that.

I looked up your username and it seems that you did not verify it. Please check your email for a verification link. Then you will be able to login.

I am afraid I don’t understand. Are you saying you hate it when a website is opened in a new tab?

Congrats from me as well, Ashraf! Alas, I too have the same problem as Falco. I’ve registered and been sent the confirmation link and have clicked on it, but each time I try and log in I get a “ERROR: Invalid username” message. Any suggestions?

It shows you as unverified. Can you please try again? Also, I believe Falco’s account is working fine now.

Nope, still not happening. When I click on the confirmation link, your home page comes up. Any ideas why this is happening? Could it have anything to do with my java script blocker (Firefox add-on)?

I don’t see why a JavaScript blocker would prevent you from registering properly.
To make sure my registration system wasn’t broken I just tried to register and it works fine.
Three things to do now:
1) Clear you cookies and cache and try.
2) If #1 doesn’t work, go ahead and try to disable JS Blocker and register.
3) If #2 doesn’t work can you email me and tell me the exact URL you are being sent to and the error you get.
4) After #3 I will delete your account and you can try to register again.
5) If all fails I will manually register you.
Apologies for the inconvenience. I am trying to get you registered and diagnosis the problem all in one.
