About Android Apps of the Day

Android has over 450,000 apps. With so many apps out there, app discovery (aka finding new and useful apps) is extremely difficult. With our Android Apps of the Day initiative, dotTech aims to change that. Everyday we post three apps, allowing our readers to discover new apps, daily. Enjoy! Knots 3D

Interested in knots? Want to learn how to tie some? Knots 3D is for you.

Knots 3D is an app that teaches users about over 30 types of knots (free version has 33 knots while paid version has 71 knots), such as what the knot is used for, other names it is known by, its classification, tips when tying, and strength/reliability info. In addition to all that information, Knots 3D shows a 3D model of the knot in question plus a video that shows the knot being tied. Unfortunately Knots 3D doesn’t provide step-by-step directions on how to tie each knot but the 3D videos do a fairly good job at showing how knots are tied.

If you decide to purchase the paid version of Knots 3D, in addition to the increased number of knots, you get slow-motion drawing control, full screen mode, and the ability to bookmark your favorite knots for easy access.
