[Review] uMark Professional 1.3

Giveaway of the day for July 12, 2009 is:

uMark Professional 1.3

Version reviewed:

v1.3

Software description as per GOTD:

Protects your digital photos with uMark. uMark is a powerful batch watermarking software. It enables you to add visible watermarks to your digital images and photos. Be it your company name, logo or a copyright notice; uMark can add all! You can fully customize the placement of your watermark, set a custom font, size, color and transparency. You can also rotate and tile the watermark. uMark can also generate thumbnails and batch convert images.

Ashraf’s note:

Both SiteAdvisor and WOT list uMark Professional’s developer’s website as “dangerous” (SiteAdvisorWOT). However uMark Professional seems to be clean: Avira Premium picked up nothing, and VirusTotal and Jotti agree.

You mentioned a few additional programs last time, for videos you can get a watermark filter to use with VirtualDub, or just sub titles. Photoshop and GIMP (free) just apply a layer over top the original image with a low opacity/ high transparency and you’ll achieve the desired effect.
