How to root Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 using ClockworkMod (CWM) recovery (both 3G and WiFi) [Guide]

Getting an Android device rooted might be one of the most looked upon things after a new device has been launched. And the developer community working behind Android and its dependencies is such big that there is usually almost no delay for a device to get rooted after its release. Rooting your device will let you do many useful things such as block ads , allow/disallow specific permissions to specific apps, take advanced backups and install custom ROMs (naming just a few). If you are looking forward to rooting your Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 in the simplest, though safe method, we would suggest you to first install ClockworkMod recovery on your device , which will make performing advanced tasks on your device much simpler. Also, this guide requires you to have ClockworkMod recovery installed beforehand (check our guide on installing CWM recovery  on your device if you haven’t already checked it out).

This guide will help you to root your Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 running on Ice Cream Sandwich. This guide will work for both the 3G and WiFi versions of Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1. As per zedomax (the developer who is reportedly the first person to have rooted Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1), if your model number starts with GT-N8000 or GT-N8013 or GT-N8010, you will be able to root your device successfully using this method. Proceed at your own risk.
