Compare your battery life to that of others with the same device with Battery Compare [Android]September 1, 2012 0 Email article | Print article
Are you the kind of person who uses their phone only a small amount each day, but finds their device dead by the time you pull it out of your pocket at lunch? If you are, you may want to find out if it’s your device or not–and Battery Compare can help you do it.
Battery Compare differs greatly from your phone’s built-in battery monitoring tool. Rather than reusing data your phone automatically gathers, Battery Compare takes its own measurements, ensuring accuracy and better usage indicators.
After you’re done letting Battery Compare run in the background, you’ll be quizzed about your device. Does it still have the original battery? Is it running a custom ROM? Afterwards, you’ll be able to publish it and compare your device to others with the same device, and both similar and different situations.
Though it’d be nice if Battery Compare could simply grab usage data from the official Android battery stats, it’s certainly a nice tool for figuring out if your phone is busted. It’s free, and is available on Google Play. The Pro version allows for custom filters and loading of recent benchmarks.
