Automatically mute your phone at specific times of the day with Silent Time [Android]

Are you sleeping or in class? If you are, don’t get interrupted by your phone. Instead, mute it on schedule with Silent Time, an automatic muting app. If you’re expecting a call from someone, you can even add an exception for just that person so you don’t miss it.

Silent Time is quite simple. It’s based on an Event paradigm: you can create multiple silencing “events”, each with a specific starting and ending time. They’re scheduled weekly, so if you have class on Monday-Wednesday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday or something else wacky, you can easily schedule silence times for it. If you’re supposed to have your phone all the way off, you can even turn off vibration for extra assurance.

If you’re expecting an important call, Silent Time can handle that. Just go into the app and add a per-contact exception to your silent times. You can also mute your phone temporarily by using the Quick Quiet widget.

Overall, Silent Time is a nice app for silencing your phone on a schedule. It’s easy to use, and will be greatly appreciated by classmates, coworkers, and anyone else who doesn’t want to hear your phone.
