Is that a hole in the sky? [Amazing Photo of the Day]

Do you know what a ‘skypunch’ is? According to Terry Boswell, skypunch is a “rare meteorological phenomenon where ice crystals form above the high-altitude cirro-cumulo-stratus clouds, then fall downward, punching a hole in the cloud cover.” Yeah… doesn’t sound so cool in words but, damn, it looks awesome in a photo. Check it out:
Upon seeing the above photo, don’t you just want to say quick, close the wormhole before Decepticons come through it.
