[iPhone] Brilliantly annotate photos with Evernote’s Skitch

Skitch is an annotating tool from the makers of the popular productivity app Evernote. If you are a PC user, then you have probably seen or most likely used the program Paint. Windows has been providing it as a part of its operating system for many years. Whenever I wanted to communicate something to someone by drawing on a picture, I would always use Paint, because it was fast and easy to use. I would circle some area or word on the picture, draw a line to it, and then put some informative or silly text describing what I was thinking. Well that is exactly what Skitch is all about, except you get the bonus of having it directly in synced to your Evernote account.

Skitch allows you to take in or capture photos from your iPhone camera, your iOS photo library, a live map, a webpage, or simply start anew with a blank page. The app annotating tools are arrows, text boxes, freehand, and shapes (i.e. rectangles, ovals, etc.), all of which have three different levels of thickness to choose from. Skitch also provides a censoring mechanism if you need to pixelate any portion of a photo and a clever zooming tool that grabs a square portion of a photo and zooms in on it.

I highly recommend this tool as it is probably the easiest annotator to use in the App Store, it is free, and easily synced to Evernote.
