[iPhone, iPad] InstaCollage lets you merge and create collages with images

With the Instagram waves hitting the shores, a large number of similar and supporting apps like Viddy, Textagram, etc. were born. Another one of these babies is InstaCollage Pro – Pic Frame & Pic Caption for Instagram FREE.

What is it and what does it do

Main Functionality

Now, tell your story via amazing looking PHOTOS, FRAMES and UNIQUE COLLAGES with caption!

This is what the developers have to say about this app. The app contains various pre-designed collages and frames to which we add multiple photos, and can also add custom captions to describe the pictures. The idea is to allow users to combine images into one photo/collage. The best part? You don’t need to be an Instagram users to use InstaCollage.

Pros

  • Elegant app design
  • Plenty of frames and collage templates are available for free
  • Add up to six images into a single photo/collage
  • A number of filter effects are available
  • Ability to add clipart to the pictures
• Plenty of sharing options

Cons

  • Free version is ad-supported

Discussion

Simplicity is the greatest beauty. The simple design of InstaCollage makes you want to use it

You can select any template from the homescreen. Tap on each grid to add photo to it. You can zoom in and zoom out in each grid and perfectly position your pictures. Once all the grids are filled, you can add effects to each grid separately and select a frame for your pic. If you want to add a caption, you can do that too, before sharing your masterpiece.

Unlike many other “lite” apps, InstaCollage packs a plethora of frames and collages in the fee app – 46 simple & 18 complex collages, and 35 frames in the free version. The free app also includes 19 filters for the photos and about 100 clipart you can use. The text for caption can also be customized in whatever way you desire.

InstaCollage doesn’t fall behind in sharing features either. With options to save to library, share to Facebook, and Twitter, share via e-mail, and post to Instagram, all the boxes on my list are checked.

The beauty of this app is that it scores even in its con. Although the free version is ad-supported, the ads are minimalistic and nonintrusive.  Also, there is no reduction in features when compared to the full app.
