These are odd hook-shaped trees in Crooked Forest, Poland [Amazing Photo of the Day]

Look outside your window. If you live in any place but the most arctic regions of the world, chance are you can see a tree when you look outside the window. What does that tree look like? More specifically, does it have a straight (or semi-straight) trunk? Probably. If you lived in Crooked Forest, however, your answer would be “no”.
Crooked Forest is a place in Poland that is home to oddly hook-shaped pine trees. Check it out:
It is speculated these trees grow this way due to human intervention — people purposefully shaped the trees this way so their wood could be used to build boats. How true that is, I don’t know.

It looks creepy… I have also seen some crooked trees in some coastal areas in southern India. The people there told us that the tsunami in 2005 caused it.
