DRM (Digital Rights Management) was invented to prevent people from pirating or stealing digital intellectual property. An unintended consequence of DRM was pissing people off by locking down their content to one machine. The music industry quickly learned music sells better DRM-free. eBook industry? Yeah, not so much…
