Do you find yourself needing a way to quickly edit and explore text? For example, have you ever needed a way to extract keywords from large amounts of text? If so, SWEAT may be your new best friend. This is a text manipulation utility that makes editing text quick and easy.
SWEAT is a manipulation utility that you can use to quickly edit large amounts of text. By setting up your own options you can tell the program exactly what you need it to search for. Not only that, but you can even set up the program to remove certain things from the text as well. This goes beyond just removing letters, You can also remove line characters, spaces and punctuation.
First off, don’t let the interface of SWEAT keep you away. I mean, the program is nothing amazing to look at, but it does its job perfectly. That being said, the program does look a bit on the plain side. However, I have never been one to judge a book by its cover!
Using SWEAT is easy. All you have to do is open up the program, and paste some text into the top box. Now go to the option tab and select a few options that you want to use. For example, tell it what you want to remove from the text. Now just hit “Go”, and the program will take care of the rest. It is really that simple.
One great thing about this program is all of the ways you can manipulate the text that you paste into the program. You can tell it to remove words, characters, spaces, punctuation and even custom word lists. You can also tell the program to sort the words alphabetically, remove all duplicated words or search for a word that has been used “X” number of times.
This program can be helpful to just about everyone. Whether you’re doing a paper for work or school, this program can help it sound more professional. For example, let’s say you feel that you used a certain word too many times in a paper you were writing, and you want to cut down on the number of times you used it. Just tell the program to search for words that you used “X” number of times, and you can easily switch out these words. Not only that, but it may come up with other words that you did not know you used that many times.
All in all, this is a great program to try out. Since it is free, you have nothing to lose! The program does look dated, but don’t let that fool you. It is able to do everything that it says it can do and more. So if you are looking for a good text manipulator, I highly recommend giving SWEAT a try.
