Kingston announces the ‘World’s First’ 1TB USB flash/thumb drive

Not satisfied with the amount of data your current flash drive can store? Well, with Kingston’s latest flash drive, most people will be able to store all the data they own in a flash drive. The company has announced what they’re claiming is the world’s first 1TB USB 3.0 flash drive. Talk about overkill.

The flash drive is called the DataTraveler HyperX Predator 3.0 — fitting name for such a monstrous little thing. The drive is capable of read/write speeds of 240MB/s and 160MB/s and boasts SuperSpeed USB 3.0 certification.

For those of you with ridiculous needs in a flash drive, the 1TB won’t be available  until sometime in the first quarter of this year. For now, you’ll just have to make do with the relatively paltry 512GB version which already costs $1,750.

One thing’s for sure — it would suck to lose this thing.
