Have been trying to find a freeware to download adobe flash player. have good you tube from fod but can not find anything that will download flash.
Hi charley. I'm not sure I understand what you're after. Do you want to download the Adobe Flash Player plug-in? Or download flash files? If it is the latter, Firefox has some great add-ons that you might want to check out. I use NetVideoHunter. Very simple to use. Sits on the bottom status bar and you simply click and download. Then if you want to convert it to another format, use FormatFactory of iwisoft converter. Is that what you meant? Sorry if I have it round the wrong way.
OfflineIf you're using Internet Explorer, check out the Flash Saving plug-in (http://www.unhsolutions.net/Flash-Saving-Plugin/). Or alternatively, I found this on the following site – http://labnol.blogspot.com/2005/11/save-flash-from-firefox-and-ie.html:
a. Click Tools – Internet Options
b. In the General Tab, click the Settings button available in the Temporary Internet Files group.
c. Click View Files to open your Temporary Internet Files folder. Depending upon your IE settings, the Temp. folder can contain tens of thousands of files.
d. Click View – Details. Now click View – Arrange Icons By – Internet Address. Depending upon the webpage, there could one or more Flash files (Shockwave Flash Object) under the Inernet Address.
e. Once you find the right flash file, right-click and choose Copy. Then paste the swf file in any other directory. Be sure to
keep the page and IE open to avoid purging of the cache file.
Or check out this guide – http://www.davidtan.org/save-flash-files-in-internet-explorer-firefox-and-opera/
I hope this is in the ballpark.

thanks for that ozzie, i'd been needing on of them for a while. Our network filter here is a bloody nazi, it taggs pages about IT as malicious. Anyway, i took it as a chalenge, and managed to get around it anyway :) Victory!

You're welcome, Sean.
I'm wondering how charley got on and whether this was what he/she was after.
PS. I can relate to the nazi network filter. A year or so back I was doing some consultancy work in the countryside – and that org's filter was uber-nazi. It was my other half's b'day while I was away, so the night before I was looking for an e-card to send. I was checking out various card sites, only to find that half of them were being blocked – complete with warning messages that I was trying to access sex sites! What the … ????? I was horrified! Completely mortified! I had images in my head that everyone would think I was some sort of deviant; that the word would spread like wildfire, and everywhere I went I would hear tut-tutting and snickering! I felt like going to the IT people and trying to explain that such sites as lovecards were categorically not of the pornographic variety. In the end, I was too humiliated to do anything but slink to my desk and hope no one said anything. Which they didn't, of course. But suffice it to say that no e-card was sent that year.
OfflineOzzie!
Your ubernazi post script is way up there in terms of laughter quotient. I am reeling with laughter.
Please don't take me to be all the more ruder for it. I empathise with you & can vouch for your wonderful habits.
Yesterday you'd posted another class act – the one about your mother eating a sandwich in all caps – I meant the font; not the sandwich! You were mortified (again not by the sandwich but by the font)
Oh it was so funny! I do expect more howlers from you Ozzie! Omigod that can mean two totally different things.
But then I do know "Awesome Ozzie" always gets it right!
Fortuitously the smilie icons too came back when I posted. Obviously they too love your sense of humour
LOL

Between 1310 & 1320 hrs IST (GMT +5.5) both website & Firefox 3.5.8 conked out. That also coincided with the WYSIWYG not being there. Now both WYSIWYG & browser is back – I am writing this from Opera 10.10.
I do not know if it was due to server or browser or both. Just thought I'd let you know in any case

OfflineHi Ozzie!
I found a real ROFL thing! I discovered that in Mongolia there is actually a place called MORON!
I quote you, Ozzie said – " @ Ramesh: Brother, I only wish I was half as appreciated in other spheres of my life!"
Well what else can I say – If someone out there doesn't appreciate you I know not only what he is but also where he lives! So there!

LOL! Actually, that's a common mistransliteration of cyrillic. It's actually Murun and its the provincial centre of beautiful Khuvsgul province.
And don't worry, my friend! I say these things in jest! As you well know! I couldn't have a better or more loving bunch of people around me. To be honest, I feel incredibly blessed in this life. I live in this amazing country. I have an amazing partner whom I love heart and soul and everything in between. I have amazing friends. And I do work that I love, and that one day in the future might help make the world a better and safer place for everyone. What more could anyone ask for in life?
