Billions. Here's my Start Menu list:
PersonalBrain (I'm not really sure this is the best, I'm still trying to find a good diagramming/brainstorming software. I think I'm deciding between FreeMind, Keynote, TreeDBNotes, and The Guide.)
OpenOffice (I actually have a Microsoft Office license, but I was too lazy to get the CD :P)
Security:
>HijackThis
>PeerGuardian 2
Paint.NET
Gigaget
SRWare Iron
uTorrent (Legaltorrents.com? :P)

Sun xVM VirtualBox
Tidy Start Menu <-- Take a look if you haven't tried it.

I removed things you've already posted about, or you most likely know about.
OfflineHere are some that I know of (most of these are well-known, freeware products
which have been used and tested by many people and which can be "trusted" to do the job) :

Avast
AVG
Comodo
Rising
PC Tools
ThreatFire
BitDefender Free
Clamwin
Antispyware: Spyware Terminator
Spybot S&D
Malwarebytes AntiMalware
A-squared free
Ad-Aware Free

Comodo System Cleaner
Auslogics Registry Cleaner
Disk Defragmenters: Auslogics Disk Defrag
Iobit Smart Defrag
Defraggler
Ultimate Defrag (Freeware edition)
Registry Defragmenters/Compactors: NTREGOPT
Auslogics Registry Defrag 5.1.18.445 (last
freeware version) Latest version is 5.2.19.455 and is shareware, cost US$19.95
Quicksys RegDefrag
Jukeboxes/Music players/Video players: VLC Media Player
RealPlayer (I know that there are some people who 'hate' RealPlayer but I can assure you it is safe to use and works fairly well)
WinAmp
MediaMonkey
Muziic Player (This is nice. As we all know, Youtube is a great source of videos but with this little 'gem', you can listen to free music using Youtube as the "database")
1by1 (This is not well known but surprisingly good. It is lightweight only 118 kb download and is portable; no need for installation. As quoted from Softpedia, "This is a basic, but very convenient way to quickly play large numbers of MP3 files without having to fuzz with a fully featured MP3 player."
You can download it from here: http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia/Audio/Audio-Players/1by1.shtml)
If I were to continue, it is going to take me days. But for now, this is what I can contribute.

Jean,
I am not going to lie: I found it to be impressive also. Probably going to be featured in the next article.
I don't see it yet :(

You know what is ironic? You even commented on it…

Hi Ashraf found a little freeware app called ABR-1.0, what's interesting is that i was able to back up my liscense and activation for windows vista 32bit and install windows vista 64bit as far as im aware this is leagal as dell sold me a 64 bit quad core processor dell 9200 and a 32 bit vista as that was all that was available at the time..
quote from liscense
This package provides utilities to backup and restore the activation
files in OEM versions of Windows Vista that are pre-activated at the
factory. It probably won't work on activation that was performed
online or over the phone.
worth a look for anyone that has had this problem and save buying a disc even if it's 20 euro from dell..
