OfflineI often read posting here that state certain programs are a resource hog or a memory hog.
Is there a program that can tell you how much memory is being used by EACH program that is opened.
I know you can find out how much total memory is being use at a given point, but what about each program.

Open Windows task manager and click on the process tab which will tell you the "Mem Usage" of every running program.
Or get AnVir Task Manager.
Morning Sandeep
I dl AnVir Task Manager. WOW, that is a sweet program. I know that is not the techie way of describing SW, but I just had to say that.
There are so many features, some of which I probably will never use, but I am glad to know they are there. The good thing is that it has a video tutorial, I viewed a couple of time and I am sure I will refer to it in the future.
I also noticed that it is considered Best Freebies by dot Tech.
Another home run Sandeep. Here have an ice cream …..on me

@Ebony: I believe that dotTech has a special registration keycode for an upgrade over the baseline free version.
Thank you, I found the info and entered it and it told me I would get free updates until 2009/10/01 = January 10 2009????
Build date = 2010/4/02???
I only saw one code. Did I miss something?

@Ebony: Apparently we are still able to upgrade to newer versions – use the registration information provided it will still work.
I can confirm that myself, EBony i have been using this program for ages and i can tell you it's the best if you want to now more about whats running, i just (litterally just) upgraded mine with no problems just download the new Anvir Task manager from their site and enter the keys if this doesn't work then get the older version from ashrafs page (i think its the old version anyway) and then upgrade through that.

Hi Ashraf
Now I am really aggravated
I tried the code three times
It says I have version 6.3.1, but the dates are still the same as I stated above.
I followed the link in the article.

No problem Ebony, the link to ashrafs actual giveaway and review is here:
http://dottech.org/freebies/dottech-exclusives/7292
Just download the version off that page and see if it works and then if it does just click on help and check for updates and there should be an update to version 6.3.1 when the page to their site loads click on the download for Anvir Tsk manager – the second one down.
The actual download page is here:
http://www.anvir.com/download.htm
BTW just click on help in the program and click enter registration key if you want to register, then restart the prgram and click on help > about in the about box that pops up it should say:
Registered to: doTech.org
Free updates till: 2009/10/01
don't worry about the "free updates 2009/10/01" its still valid.
ANyway thats all the help i can offer you right now it's very late and i have school in the morning.
Cheers,
Conn

Hey no problemm Ebony,
i did just type a very long winded and in depth reply just then but now i can't see it on the page even though i just posted it!!!
The link to Ashrafs review and giveaway is here:
http://dottech.org/freebies/dottech-exclusives/7292
Just install the version from ashraf and it should work with the install code, then just click on help> check for updates and if it pops up, just lclick download new version and wait for the page to load VERY IMPORTANT >> There will also be an option saying "your license key has expired enter a new one" DO NOT CLICK ON IT YOU DO NOT NEED TO >>, when it has loaded just click on the download for Anvir Task manager – second download from the top and then install it. It should recognise your key straight away and run as normal. To download it yourself just go to:
http://www.anvir.com/download.htm
BTW to register just go to help> enter registration key then enter the user and key, then restart the program. TO make sure that it is registered go to help> about, in there it should say:
Registered to: doTech.org
Free updates till: 2009/10/01
Don't worry about the "Free updates till: 2009…" it still works for the updates and also the enter registration key option will stiill be in the help menu even when it is registered so if your about page already says that you are registered dont click on the enter registration key again.
OfflineThere is definitely something going on here

Just like he said his did.
So here goes again.
Thanks Conn9, I did get it to work following your instructions and I will disregard the dates.
Hope all went well at school.
