When I install something, I would like to know what changes it has made to my computer. What registry entries did it make, did it install .dll files, what about my AppData folder? Is there a program that can give me a report of changes like this?

ZSoft Unistaller. Takes snapshot before and after install. I havent used it in a while but if i remember correctly yiu can view report after install that lists all changes.

Ashampoo Uninstaller 4 takes a record of registry AND file structure before and after installation. It creates a log file of the differences which can be accessed, or compared with another installation log file.

I've been using it for several months with no problem except watch out for the enevitable task bar and if you give them a permanent email address be prepared for spamlike quantities of offers – that's how I got the above code!
