OfflineIs there a down or upside to multiple backups of the same programs. For example, I have a timeline backup of any changes made as they are made. I was thinking of adding a program that would back up just mail. Mind you I have the OS backup set.
In terms of systems backup, does it hurt to have it backed up by 2 different programs to two separate external drives.
In other words, how much backup do I really need? I feel like I am in backup overkill mode.

OfflineWhen it comes to data backups, redundancy is always good. However, you must ask yourself, what is the chance of a) your first external hard drive failing and b) you being unable to restore from your timeline backups? If the answer is low to both questions, there is no need to backup twice. Redundancy is typically encourage for business users who have critical data they can't lose.
