OfflineOh, yes. And my favourite linux to use in place of windows would by FAR be Linux Mint. It's got a beautiful interface, and seems to fix everything I don't like about Ubuntu.
Also, since it's based on Ubuntu, it can install and run all the programs that were written for Ubuntu, along with it's own ones.
It's pretty light on system resources, too. Not any comparison to cPud, Puppy, or DSL, though.
